In December, our fifth graders were immersed in the world of environmental engineering. We explored questions about the kinds of measurements these scientists need to take in order to understand the environment both before and after a new technology or system is introduced. We used our new digital pH meters from a recent DonorsChoose donation to double check our results for using pH sensitive paper to take readings of several samples. This group did an excellent job working together, recording data in a clear and organized manner and keeping their lab space neat. Way to go Team!
