The Power of Art to help us STOP and WONDER!
Our Grade 5 STEAM unit looks at questions like:
- What happens to the stuff we use when we are "done"?
- What are the sources and outcomes of human waste materials?
- What should we do about our waste?
Nature Journaling- A Great Way to Get to Know Your Place
Research and experience tell us that time spent in nature has physical, emotional, cognitive and social benefits. Building a strong connection to natural places through repeated and focussed observation connects us to our place today and to the history of our places over time. Imagine you could help your child slow down, be more attentive, and think more deeply and critically when they are outside in nature. Nature journaling might be enjoyable for you and your family to explore together.
Have some STEAM-Y Weather fun!
